About the Pantry
The EPH Food Pantry provides individuals and families in need with fresh fruits and vegetables, dry goods, and dairy products on a weekly basis. Our pantry is set up like a small grocery store, and community members are welcome to come once each month to get the food that they need. We receive the bulk of our food from local organizations such as the Greater Boston Food Bank, Food For Free, and Lovin’ Spoonfuls. We also receive generous donations from grocery stores, food drives, and individuals within the community. We currently serve over 1,200 people and 2,400 bags of groceries each month!
Visiting the Pantry
The Food Pantry is open every Wednesday from 5:15 – 7:00 pm.
People are welcome to shop in the pantry one time per month, and should bring a picture ID with them to each distribution they attend. People are served on a first-come-first-served basis. Clients are expected to be respectful of each other, volunteers, and Elizabeth Peabody House staff and program participants.
If you are new to the pantry, we ask that you fill out a short registration form on-site.
If you are in need of Gluten Free food for medical reasons, please contact our Food Pantry Coordinator at email@example.com.
We currently offer the following volunteer opportunities for stocking the pantry and helping with distribution:
Mondays, 9:30 am – 12:00 pm, and
Wednesdays, 5:00 – 7:30 pm

We welcome academic and community-service related project ideas that are relevant to our food access services!
We are happy to accept donations of unopened, shelf stable food items for the pantry. It is easiest for us to accept donations on Wednesdays, but we can arrange for other times as well. Please contact email@example.com or 617-623-5510 x103, to coordinate a time that works best! Unfortunately we cannot accept donations of clothing or toys at this time.
